I began over 30 years ago as a teenager then took it up professionally when I got my Masters in 1974. I went freelance in 1983.Q. What special skills do you have?A. Proficiency in microcontroller and microprocessor programming, Visual Basic, HTML, Internet software, PCB layout, analogue and power circuit design... However, what may be of more value to many clients is the fact I have a wealth of experience dealing with smaller companies. I take a multi-disciplinary approach to design so you get a complete solution, not just an electronic circuit.Q. How much does it all cost?A. I can give a price within hours of your sending an enquiry. Of course, I may need to spend time with you sorting out what you need - or solving particular problems - right at the beginning unless you already have a full electronic specification. Quotes are subject to my Terms.Q. What about other services we'll need?A. Once we are sure of the circuit (with or without a bench prototype) it needs to be put onto PCB for which there are tooling charges.Also, modern electronic designs have to meet a raft of European and other directives which may require testing (at cost) by a specialist test house.
